Wow. First, I want to say THANK YOU to Poplar Springs for inviting me out for an amazing and relaxing weekend in my own backyard. Our only goal was to relax and have a great spa experience and boy did we get it.
The weekend began with a fantastic couples massage that incorporated a ton of all natural and organic products which you KNOW I loved :). As we made our way through the spa we totally adored the huge pool and hot tub to totally unwind in. Also, the spa treatments are such a good price and totally organic – HELLOOO!!
Once we got to our room we were super impressed by the massive and comfy king bed and all of the wonderful L’Occitane bath products (I DIED – I wanted to steal some, but I was good 🙂 ). So, the room quickly became an impressive favorite as well!
Finally came dinner – which you know I was excited for! Poplar had an outstanding menu with huge portions; all of which is served in their stunning dining room (Fun Fact: Poplar was actually converted from an old mansion to create a stunning setting and as a history major I totally fell in love!)
The Lobster Crepes were mine and Dan’s favorite. So creamy, sweet, and savory all at the same time. Loved them!
You know I was the most excited for dessert! Knowing that the pastry chef used to work at the Inn at Little Washington made me SUPER excited. We had strawberry shortcake and a chocolate caramel tarte and I absolutely melted over both.
All in all this experience at Poplar Springs was truly relaxing, unreal, gorgeous, and necessary. I highly recommend it for a staycation, a vacation, a romantic getaway, a business meeting, or even just pop in for dinner! They accommodate everybody and are nothing but wonderful!
