The babes behind The Moon Baby Show (Candice, Tiffany, and Megan) are BEYOND fab and have an amazing story of how their expo was developed, including how they’ve had to handle discrimination and prejudice in the industry. They’re seriously on their way to creating an empire and we LOVE them. Interested in their journey? Check out the pod for our interview!
The founders speak about not being taken seriously as business owners because of the color of their skin. As black women, they’ve faced some particularly unique obstacles in building their brand in the baby expo industry- a predominantly white field. Initially, this even affected their partnership opportunities, creating serious challenges for funding. Due to a lack of sponsorship, the women removed their faces from the brand and sadly, the same organizations that had originally denied them sponsorship, responded. They’ve really dealt with it all.
They tell us all about their incredible and inspiring story on the pod. Despite the struggles they’ve endured to get where they are, Candice, Tiffany, and Megan have built an amazing company!!
We will NEVER stop celebrating all #bossbabes, especially when they’re local to the DMV area! And as a woman working on getting a bun in this oven, I am super excited to be partnering with The Moon Baby Show– a female-run company focused on providing community-centered baby expos designed for EVERYONE!
This inclusive event welcomes parents from all backgrounds to connect with businesses that have products and services for new and expecting parents. The goal is to connect with families from all backgrounds and demographics and make sure they have access to information they never knew existed in the baby world!
Their next event is going to be here in Washington, D.C. on September 20! And for only $10, attendees can enjoy a full day of speakers/seminars, exhibitors, gifts and giveaways! (Your little ones get in free of course.) Plus, The Moon Baby Show is making sure you leave with a gift bag (and they have some pretty incredible partners now, ya’ll). Make sure you grab a ticket while you can!
And make sure to hit these gals with a follow on social media! You can find them here:
